I stood at the end of the main street that runs through Ginza in Tokyo – Chuo-dori – after wrapping the filming of How To See Ep.2: Tokyo, relaxing slowly and uncoiling that tension which one inevitably has when you’re being filmed. I think I spaced out for a moment, and the lines became a blur; the tail lights streaked into the night, references to Tron floated through my brain somewhere, and I set the camera up to capture that feeling of detached consciousness; it’s the dark ambiguity of what might be because you’re not fully awake (on either end of the day). About the prints
Prints are made by Printmaster Wesley Wong of Giclee Art using our proprietary Ultraprint process, which delivers extremely high real resolutions – up to 720 pixels per inch, or four times that of an iPad’s Retina display, a wide gamut, and very smooth tonal transitions. We print on either Canson Infinity Platin Fiber Rag baryta or Permajet Portrait White depending on the subject matter and size using Epson Ultrachrome archival-grade inks.
